Margaret Azpeitia-Taylor's Point Cabrillo Lighthouse Textile Art Quilt will be on exhibit as part of the Arts For The Parks Exhibit at the Gualala Art Center. Saturday, June 7, 2008 5:00 - 7:00 p.m, Dolphin Gallery exhibit - opening reception: Exhibit on display through July 2, 2008; Admission is free. Anita Kaplan received two ribbons for her quilts in the Marin County Quilt Show. Her quilt "Liaisons" took third place, and "Coney Island Abalone" took first place in the small (less than 145" perimeter) innovative category. She also received a second place ribbon in the Art-in-the-Redwoods Festival for the quilt "And What is Life?" This month also marks the publication of an article about Anita in Quilt Magazine, Fall 2002, showcasing her quilts. One of Ann Graf's quilts is pictured on page 27 of the spring 2002 issue of American Quilter magazine. She knew nothing about it until someone spotted her name and showed it to her. Ann had taken part in a challenge with her former guild in Santa Rosa about two years ago --- the subject was "play on words." Members, please let us know what you've accomplished! |
