Program Committee – Gail Sims

Gail reported she had to cancel the Karen Combs workshop as there were only 4 people signed up. So at our next meeting, June 16, 2006 there will be a comfort quilt workshop.

It has been decided that we will only have 2 outside guest quilting teachers each year.

The committee is planning to contract Sally Collins for May 2007.

Continued Education - Mary Austin

Mary suggested several workshops for the new or beginning quilters given by our members.

They were as follows:

“OK! I have the Blocks now What Do I Do with them?”

Machine quilting

Freehand Machine quilting

Hand quilting

“Fairy God Mother’s opportunities” These would be time that some of our more experienced quilters would come early to our guild meeting. Any member would be able to come and ask for help/suggestions or any helpful questions.

Mary wanted more suggestions and needs from the group.

Mystery Quilt -- Donna Bloom

In Donna’s absence, Marilyn Limbaugh showed the display board that Donna had prepared.  It showed the next step for the mystery quilt.  The handouts Donna had prepared showing the next step for the Mystery Quilt were also handed out by Marilyn.  Both steps one and two are also on our website.
