A blue folder with ideas to carry out the theme is on the quilting shelf in the GAC library.

Quilts of Valor: These are quilts for returning injured soldiers. We make tops and a case to hold the quilt. We label and bind the quilt after donated long arm quilting is finished. We distribute them at the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital. Patriotic quilts are the most popular; we need both feminine and masculine themes. Hobbies are a good theme also. Ready-made labels can be obtained from Marilyn Limbaugh, or you can make a personal one with a message. 53” x 60” is the usual size.
Block of the Month: The blocks were raffled as a group. Monica Zarkowski was the winner.
By-Laws: The committee presented copies to members attending. Members are asked to comment by e-mail to Jan Carter or Barbara Dunsmoor. If you are not heard from, the committee assumes you have nothing to say. This meeting is the first reading. Membership will vote on adoption at the October meeting.
