Membership: Gail Spencer said we have two prospective new members.

Newsletter: The deadline for November’s letter is tomorrow (October 25).

Hospitality: Thanks to Diane and Gail for cookies and brownies.

Festival of Trees: Chairman Sylvia Edwards thanked participants for their contributions at the workshop today. A sign-up sheet will be coming around to sign-up for working hours at FOT (November 28 and 29). Carol Tackett and Clair McPherson will co-ordinate the November 8 preview.

2008 Quilting Retreat: Those who have signed up must make their own reservations at Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg.

Comfort Quilts: One quilt was shown that was assembled completely from the fanny basket.

Block of the Month: This program has been dropped.

By-laws: The submitted by-laws were MSP unanimously. The member-approved by-laws will be published on line. The next job of this committee is to update Policies and Procedures. The committee will meet next in January. A note about the adopted by-laws: They establish a new organizing scheme. The Steering Committee no longer exists.

Announcements: From May 9 through June 7 a show at Gualala Art Center will be “Paper N(O)r Plastic,” organized by Harmony Susalla and Janice Carter. Entry forms (due by April 27) are available for entering an art shopping bag.

There is no name tag raffle today.

A suggestion was made to store nametags in a plastic box at the art center.
