President Joyce Gaudet called the meeting to order at 1:18 p.m. on July 23, 2010
15 members and 2 guests were in attendance at picnic and meeting
Renata was thanked for organizing the picnic, Joyce for helping set up.
June minutes read, move to accept Donna Blum, second Carol Tackett, passed.
Janet Windsor: deadline for Aug. newsletter is July 25.
Sylvia Edwards: Please bring finished Festival of Trees items to Sept. meeting. She suggested using lavender(which is now in season) for crafts.
No meeting in August. (A.I.R.)
Sandi Brearcliffe rescued a comfort quilt from Pay'n'Take, that will be recycled.
Sandi Brearcliffe and France Ward were welcomed as new members.
Chris Smith is hoping to make headway in getting more publicity for the guild;
Marianne Rittenhouse suggested Mendonoma Community Calendar.
Carol Tackett: Challenge pieces due in March, wants 100% participation. No size limit (within reason), but don't take up an entire wall. They want 50 or more quilts.
Marilyn Limbaugh: We need more Quilts of Valor.
Treasurer's Report: (by proxy) Current balance is $10,368.16.
Show and Tell: Members showed items from trips, as suggested by Renata in pre-picnic reminders.

Meeting adjourned 1:40 pm. As weather was not cooperating, Quilto was cancelled.
